![]() What do you think 99 % of children would do in that situation? for that matter what would 99% of adults do, lie thats what. When Clem accidental shoots the merchant you choose weather you want to lie for her or not. She a kid that states she's been alone for a long time ,maybe being a adult he would find it in his heart to help her ,isn't that what most adults would do? And after the death of Mariana it became more important to my Javier to help Clementine ,mabye out of some sort of reparation to counter what happened or just not wanting to see another child die or maybe just cause he needed to. She didn't try to kill me ,it wasn't personal. Javier met Clementine after she took out a truck owned by some very nasty people ,that tells me she is very resourceful and brave for a kid. I do my best to try and choose what I think the character would do based on what they know. I'm sure many people did side with Clem because it's Clem. That's a very interesting perspective on that event ,but it's just that ,your perspective. This result just shows that people played the game as a viewer who knows everything about the all story and all it's characters, instead of playing it as a gamer who's supposed to be immersed in the story and take decision that he would take if he were the character. Statistics should have been 50/50 or 60/40 like they are with every other choices, not 95/5. I meant that playing from Javier's point of view was the way intented. That's not what I meant, I didn't meant that one choice should be the way intented. I don't care that much about Javier watshisface to roleplay that far into it, if you do then that's your prerogative. If you wanna play your way of him not trusting her because he doesn't know her that's fine, if I want to play the game my way with the knowledge of the previous seasons is fine aswell. Originally posted by Atlas:devs knew that clem is a fan favorite char from the previous 2 seasons, can you blame people for siding in her favor? how can you state that not killing conrad is the intended way of the game to be played? i thought these telltale games were supposed to be about players choosing their own path in how they want to deal with the circumstances that get thrown at them. But in everyone else playthrough you got 1 more death and Clem left, so you are on your own. Which we are supposed to do if we are playing another character.Įpisode 3 isn't out yet so as far as I know in my playthrough both Conrad and Clem are still alive. The reason is simple, players are biased and can't get rid of their feelings about Clem and everything they know about her. Do you seriously think that Javier (NOT YOU THE PLAYER) is going to take that risk to protect that random crazy cold girl with a bad past ? THERE IS NO WAY.īut still 95% of players did chose to kill Conrad, and that's a problem because it means that players didn't play the game in the way that was intended by the dev. Conrad as a gun on his son's head and if you try to shoot you take the risk to hit him. He is about to go face a group of mad people and already killed some of them, he also knows that they probably got Kate so if he doesn't have a plan his chances to save her are really small. All he wants is to take care of his family, the rest doesn't matter that much to him and he is ready to do anything to protect them. Nothing indicates that you can trust her.īut even if you do, and I did, you still must chose as if you were Javier. You later find out that she is, or at least was part of the New Frontier. When the camp is attacked she said to open fire even if they have an hostage. Back at the camp she shoot someone in the head and ask you to lie about it. When you choose not to shoot the guy she said that she would have. You are Javier, this crazy lonewolf girl set a trap on the road to cause an accident that could have killed you. Please try to forget anything you know about Clem from season 1 and 2. Doing this, the only reasonable decision to me was to betray Clem and this is why. When I played season 3 I played it as if I were Javier and as if I didn't know Clementine. I played the walking dead season 1 and 2 twice and I love Clem, she is one of my favourite character of all time and just seeing her makes me happy BUT. Now before you guys try to find out where I live to stab me to death let me explain why. ![]() I betrayed Clementine at the end of season 3 episode 2, Yes I did. ![]()
